What is the difference between a sales assistant and a sales advisor?

This may sound like a really silly question.
but I’ am leaving school soon so i am looking for jobs.
This is going to be my first ever job
so i want to know what an assistant is and what a sales advisor is
because im interested in a sales advisor job.

    No difference. The stores used to call everyone a “salesman” but they now use words like “Assistant” or “associate” or “advisor”. You are not really advising as much as you are trying to get the customer to buy something at the store ( and to enjoy the experience).

    Also watch for jobs that say “Customer Service Representative” and “Cashier” because they might also be sales jobs that you can easily do.
